Sermon Notes and Nuggets

  1. There is absolutely nothing to hard for God.
    • Genesis 18:14
      • God has an appointed time that He is going to do what He said He would do.
      • None of us like to wait.
    • Jeremiah 32:17, 26-27; 37-38
      • If God made the heavens and the earth, then nothing is too hard for Him.
  2. It’s an easy fix.
    • We try to gauge God’s strength with our own and in doing so we limit God.
    • 2 Kings 3:17-18
      • Moab has rebelled against Israel.
      • When you are in a situation where you are about to run out of resources, you need a word from the Lord.
      • If you serve the Lord, you have favor with God.
      • What you want is dependent upon your capacity to receive.
      • What seems hard to/for us, is easy for God.
  3. What you are going through is light in comparison and it’s only temporary.
    • 2 Corinthians 4:17-18
      • Temporary = subject to change.
      • There is an expiration date to your affliction.
      • Worketh = producing some things.
      • Faith enables us to see things through God’s eyes (not the natural eye)… shift your focus.
      • Look = keep one’s eye on; consider; contemplate.
      • Philippians 3:14
        • That which you see coming in the future, gives you strength to press.
  4. What you are going through now doesn’t compare to what God has for your later.
    • Romans 8:18
      • The glory outweighs the suffering.
      • Just endure the present suffering.
